Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu, has named a 21-player squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Benin Republic.
Madugu has retained several key players, including team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie, and Osinachi Ohale. The coach has also called up stars like Ashleigh Plumptre, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Oluwatosin Demehin to strengthen the squad.
The first leg of the fixture will take place at Stade Kegue in Lomé, Togo, on Saturday, 25 October. The return leg will be held at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
The aggregate winners across both legs will secure a spot in the WAFCON 2026 finals, which will be hosted in Morocco in March 2026.
The WAFCON 2026 tournament will also serve as Africa’s qualifying event for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, to be held in Brazil.
