The Confederation of African Football (CAF), led by President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, has announced a return to profitability after years of financial deficits, marking a major milestone in the body’s financial recovery plan initiated in 2021.

The announcement was made during the 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly held on Monday, October 6, 2025, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

For the 2023–2024 financial year, CAF recorded a net profit of USD 9.48 million  its first in several years.

The turnaround is credited to a surge in commercial revenue, the addition of new sponsorship deals, and the enforcement of strict financial management policies under the current administration.
