Nigerian striker Akor Adams continued his fine form, finding the back of the net as Sevilla crushed Barcelona 4-1 in their La Liga clash on Sunday.
Adams, recently called up by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin, sealed the emphatic win with Sevilla’s fourth goal in the 98th minute, finishing off a clever assist from Chidera Ejuke.
The goal was Adams’ second of the season in just six appearances for the Andalusian side, while Ejuke — making his fourth outing — recorded his first assist of the campaign.
Sevilla dominated the first half, racing to a 2-0 lead before a combination of Pedri and Marcus Rashford pulled one back for the Catalans.
Barcelona showed improvement after the break, but Robert Lewandowski’s missed penalty proved costly as Sevilla added a third and later a fourth in stoppage time to complete a humiliating defeat for the defending champions.
