Arsenal moved to the summit of the Premier League table on Saturday after a comfortable 2-0 victory over West Ham United in Mikel Arteta’s 300th game in charge.

The result saw the Gunners capitalize on Liverpool’s late heartbreak at Stamford Bridge, where teenage sensation Estevão netted a 95th-minute winner to hand Chelsea a dramatic 2-1 triumph  the Reds’ second consecutive stoppage-time defeat in London.

Just over a week ago, Arsenal trailed Liverpool by five points, but back-to-back wins over Newcastle United and West Ham, coupled with Liverpool’s losses to Crystal Palace and Chelsea, have turned the tide in Arteta’s favour.

Tottenham Hotspur also maintained their fine form under new boss Thomas Frank, edging Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road to climb into third place.

After seven matches, Arsenal sit top with 16 points, one ahead of Liverpool on 15. Spurs are third with 14 points, level with Bournemouth, who beat Fulham 3-1 on Friday night.

Elsewhere, Manchester United eased pressure on manager Rúben Amorim with a 2-0 home win over Sunderland, moving the Red Devils into the top half of the table on 10 points.
