Barely three months to the restart of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the interim coach of the Super Eagles Austin Eguavoen has urged the Nigeria Football Federation to act fast about the vacant managerial position of the team.

The Super Eagles has been without a permanent coach since the departure of Finidi George.

And Eguavoen has played 4 matches as an interim coach of the team.mad he was able to qualify the team for the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

“All hands must be on deck, we want to try and qualify for the World Cup,” Eguavoen told Kennis FM.

“March is just around the corner. If we have to do something (about the team), we need to do it quick.

“That person should come in as quickly as possible, settle down, so that we could speak, tweak things, exchange ideas and talk about the way forward. The earlier the better.”
