Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has expressed confidence that Nigeria will secure all three points in their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

The Super Eagles will host the Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday.

Eric Chelle’s side heads into the fixture with momentum, having secured a 2-0 victory over Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday.

“We heard that the Zimbabweans are motivated to come to Uyo and get a result, but they should forget it,” Troost-Ekong told thenff.com.

“We are highly driven by our ambition to play at the FIFA World Cup. Apart from myself, Alex (Iwobi), and maybe a couple of others who featured in the 2018 World Cup, this generation is eager to compete at the highest level. Our goal is to make Nigeria proud while also achieving personal success.”
