Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, has assured fans that the team is fully prepared for Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

The three-time African champions have yet to secure an away victory against the Amavubi in past meetings. However, Troost-Ekong insists that the team remains unfazed by their winless record in Rwanda.

“We’ve seen the reports, but we are not bothered. I played in our last game in Kigali, which ended in a goalless draw, but this time, a draw is not an option,” the center-back told thenff.com.

“Our goal is to secure all three points and get our campaign back on track.

“We are not concerned with history or past results. Our focus is solely on qualifying for the FIFA World Cup.”
