Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of Tuesday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
The Galatasaray forward was forced off midway through Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.
Team doctor of the Super Eagles confirmed that Osimhen suffered a shin bruise during the encounter. He reportedly woke up with discomfort the following morning and will not make the trip to South Africa.
