Super Eagles head coach Eric Sekou Chelle has acknowledged that the match against Rwanda was a challenging encounter.
Despite the difficulty, Nigeria secured a 2-0 victory, with Victor Osimhen finding the net in the first half.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Chelle praised his players but admitted the game was not easy.
“It was a tough game; Rwanda has a strong team. I’m proud of my players’ performance. We had limited time to prepare, with just two full training sessions. In the second half, we controlled possession well. My players delivered a solid performance.”
“I’m happy with how we set up tactically. We tried two different systems, but there’s still room for improvement. This was just the first game, and now we focus on the next one,” Chelle added.
The Super Eagles will face Zimbabwe next, hosting the Warriors on Tuesday in Uyo.
