Nigeria’s Junior Tigress endured a tough outing at the 2025 FIBA U-19 Women’s World Cup as world number three, Canada, handed them a crushing 113-42 defeat in a completely one-sided contest.

The Canadians wasted no time asserting dominance, racing to a 23-5 lead in the first quarter and stretching their advantage to 62-16 by halftime — a staggering 42-point gap.

Rising star Agot Makeer led the Canadian charge, scoring 8 points in the opening quarter and finishing with a game-high 18 points.

By the closing stages, Canada had built an overwhelming 73-point lead. A late two-pointer from the Junior Tigress slightly closed the margin, but the damage had long been done as the game ended 113-42 in Canada’s favour.
