The incumbent president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Patrice Motsepe has agreed to run for a second term in office.
Motsepe succeeded Ahmad Ahmad as the president of the football body in 2021 and he has stamped his authority in running the affair of the body.
After much consultations, the football supremo on Friday released a statement through CAF signifying his intention to run again.
” Following requests from numerous CAF Member Association Presidents, Zonal Union Presidents and key stakeholders, the CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe has finally agreed to stand as a candidate at the CAF Presidential Elections scheduled for March 2025″, the statement said
The election is fixed for March 2025.
