FIBA Africa has officially released the group stage draws for the 2025 Afrobasket Championship, scheduled to take place in Angola this August.
Nigeria’s national basketball team, D’Tigers, has been placed in Group B, alongside familiar and formidable opponents—Madagascar, Tunisia, and Cameroon.
The tournament will feature four groups:
Group A: Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Rwanda, and DR Congo
Group B: Nigeria, Madagascar, Tunisia, and Cameroon
Group C: Angola (hosts), Libya, South Sudan, and Guinea
Group D: Senegal, Mali, Egypt, and Uganda
The competition is expected to be intense as Africa’s top basketball nations battle for continental supremacy.
