Tunisia defender Moutassar Taibli has issued a warning to the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their crucial second Group match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, the versatile defender acknowledged the attacking quality in the Nigerian squad, particularly the threat posed by Victor Osimhen and other top forwards, but insisted the Carthage Eagles are well prepared to contain them.
Taibli noted that Nigeria boast high-level attackers who can change the course of a game, stressing that Tunisia’s approach will be built on discipline, experience, and concentration.
“We know Nigeria’s attackers are high-level players, but with experience and concentration the result will be positive,” Taibli said.
The Tunisia defender added that the team has studied Nigeria’s style of play and has clear tactical plans to neutralise their offensive strengths.
Both sides will be aiming for a positive result in the Group encounter, with the match expected to play a decisive role in determining qualification to the knockout stage of the tournament.
