The interim coach of the Super Eagles Austin Eguavoen has made it clear that the team played below standard against Rwanda.
The Amavubi secured a 2-1 in Uyo on Monday despite going behind earlier in the second half
Eguavoen expressed his disappointment about the performance of the players and also said the result was not what they planned for.
” Below standard, and I feel very sad,” Eguavoen said after the game.
“This result was not what we planned for. We scored and were pushing for a second goal, but, quite against the run of play, we conceded. I tried to change the formation, but it didn’t work.”
