The interim coach of the Nigeria’s Super Eagles Austin Eguavoen has insisted that the team will get the maximum points in the upcoming 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Nigerian team will the Cheetah of Benin in the opening game of the qualifier before confronting the Amavubi of Rwanda in the second game in Kigali.
While speaking to the team media, the former defender reitrated confidence in the team ability to deliver
” I am very confident that we will scale through the two games and beyond. We have the materials, we have the players and personnel, we have the support, we have everything.
” The other thing we have to remind the players about is that they were almost African champions months ago. It is not even a year yet. What went wrong.
” They are the ones to turn the table around, it is not bad. I have spoken to them; we are still going to have a few meetings before the game proper”, he said.
