The competition department of the African soccer governing body has reacted to what is happening in Libya ahead of day 4 of the qualifier.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been subjected to rigorous stress, and they were made to stay at the Abraq airport for more than 12 hours.
CAF, on Monday, said on their officer X page, that they view the disturbing and unacceptable experiences of the Nigerian National Football Team (‘’Super Eagles’’) at an airport in Libya in a very serious light.

Both countries has been in the spotlight in the 24 hours due to the poor treatment Libya melted to the Super Eagles.
The football body on Monday afternoon opened an investigation into the matter.
“The Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) has been in contact with the Libyan and Nigerian authorities after it had been informed that the Nigerian National Football Team (‘’Super Eagles’’) and their technical team were stranded in disturbing conditions for several hours at an airport that they were allegedly instructed to land by the Libyan authorities”.
“The matter has been referred to the CAF Disciplinary Board for investigation and appropriate action will be taken against those who violated the CAF Statutes and Regulations”, the statement said.
