African soccer governing body on Tuesday afternoon confirmed the cancellation of the game between Libya and Nigeria.
The Mediterranean Knights are supposed to host the Super Eagles in the match day four of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday evening.
But the game has been put off after the 3-time African champions returned to their homeland following the maltreatment they suffered on arrival in Libya.
The football body on Tuesday afternoon released the official fixtures for the game on the day and the match between Libya and Nigeria was completely removed.
The matter has been refered to the disciplinary committee of the football body.
