The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially launched a new media initiative titled Mission X to rally nationwide and global support for the Super Falcons as they aim for a historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco next month.
With nine titles from 12 editions since the tournament began in 1998, the Super Falcons remain Africa’s most successful women’s national team.

As they prepare to compete in the 13th edition of the continental showpiece, their mission is clear: secure an epic 10th crown.
“We are fully behind the Super Falcons as they pursue a 10th continental title,” said NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi from the United States on Tuesday. “That’s why we’re launching Mission X to engage and energize football-loving Nigerians across the globe, regardless of age, gender, or background, to stand behind the team.”
Sanusi emphasized the importance of fan support throughout the campaign: “We want the Super Falcons to feel the passion of Nigerians wherever they play from Abuja to Casablanca and beyond as they progress through the tournament in Morocco.”
In addition to their WAFCON success, the Super Falcons were also pioneers in global competition, winning Africa’s sole ticket to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in both 1991 (China) and 1995 (Sweden), before WAFCON adopted its current tournament format.
This is Mission X: One Team. One Goal. One More Star.
